은암미술관은 '예향 전통의 맥을 이어 다양한 예술인들이 새로운 문화를 창출한다.'는 정신으로 설립된 사립 미술관입니다. 2010년 6월 광주시 동구 대의동에 개관한 은암미술관은 전시장, 수장고, 학예연구실 및 자료보관실을 갖추고 있습니다. 기획전, 초대전 등 다양한 전​시회와 함께 인문학 강좌 및 음악회를 개최하고 있습니다. 이러한 노력으로 2012년 4월 경력 대상인정기관으로 선정 되었습니다.

은암미술관은 '도시 속 미술관'으로 시민들의 소통과 휴식을 최고의 목표로 삼고 있습니다. 국립아시아 문화전당 그리고 예술의 거리와 가장 인접한 은암 미술관은 시민 누구나 전시를 즐기는 문화 소통 공간입니다. 지 역 중견작가 전시와 신진 작가 발굴 및 전시 공간을 제공하고 있습니다. 인문학과 과학, 음악 등 다양한 장르가 상호 교감을 나누는 융·복합적인 전시를 추진함으로써 관람객들에게 다양한 문화적 체험을 부여하고 미래를 선도하는 문화공간으로 거듭나기 위해 최선을 다하고 있습니다. 국제 교류전과 국내외 작가를 초청 레지던스 프로그램을 운영하고 있습니다.

또한, 은암 미술관은 '사이버'시대를 맞아 사이트와 모바일을 중심으로 지속적인 프로그램을 개발하고 있으며 네티즌에 친근감을 느끼는 미술관으로 발전할 것입니다. 광주 문화를 선도해 온 은암미술관은 새로운 시대와 요구에 맞는 미술관으로 문화 수도의 위상을 높이고 소통과 휴식을 제공하는 최고의 미술관이 되기 위해 노력할 것입니다.

Eunam Art Museum is a private art museum established with the spirit of ‘creating a new culture with various artists following the tradition of the city of art.’ Opened in June 2010 in Daeui-dong, Dong-gu, Gwangju, Eunam Art Museum is equipped with exhibition halls, storages, curatorial research room, and data storage room. In addition to various exhibitions such as special exhibitions and invitational exhibitions, humanities lectures and concerts are held. Thanks to these efforts, in April 2012, we were selected as a career recognition institution.

Citizens' communication and relaxation is our highest goal as an art museum located in the heart of the city. Closest to the National Asian Culture Center and Art Street, it is a cultural communication space where all citizens can freely enjoy exhibitions. It not only provides an exhibition space for local mid-career artists but also discovers new artists and exhibits their works. By promoting convergence and complex art exhibitions where various genres such as humanities, science, and music share mutual interest and ideas, we are doing our best to give visitors a variety of cultural experiences and become a cultural space that leads the future. It runs international exchange exhibitions and residency programs by inviting domestic and foreign artists.

In addition, Eunam Art Museum is continuously developing programs centering on the on-site and mobile exhibitions in the cyber era. It aims to become an art museum that netizens feel friendly.
